The question that always comes up is how does a non-Mexican citizen buy property in Mexico? Fortunately the answer is pretty simple, there is a process that already exists and many people already own property. The key however is doing it right. There are certain steps/processes that must be done to insure that every paper is checked, every process followed correctly. The best way to explain it is very similar to what is known as a property trust in the US. It is called a Fideicomiso which is basically a bank trust in Mexico. You still have full control of the property, but are abiding by all legal requirements in Mexico.
